Durst Asia to open in Singapore

21/02/2012

Durst has opened a second Austrian plant to cope with increased demand saying the company finished the 2011 year with a 32% increase in sales, bringing its annual revenue earn to approximately 170 million euros.

Durst say growth was driven by both the Gamma series of machines in the ceramics printing sector and the Rho series in the large format market. In 2012 the Tau label printing series will be complemented by the Kappa textiles printing system.

Consistent growth in the Southeast Asian ceramics and textiles printing sectors has allowed Durst to increase its profile in the region with the opening of its own Singapore based distribution company, Durst Asia Pty, in association with technical service and consultancy offices in other Asian countries such as India.

Durst Asia will focus its operations on the large format sector with plans to launch its 8-colour, Omega 1 hybrid flatbed into selected South East Asian countries in the near future.
