Epson launches SureLab D860, SureColor F6360 and SureColor T5460M printers at PrintEx

09/08/2019

Visitors to Epson’s stand C18 at PrintEx 2019 will see the launch of three new printers: the SureColor F6360, 44-inch dye-sublimation printer; the SureColor T5460M  - a new 36-inch printer with integrated large-format scanning capability; and the SureLab D860 compact commercial grade photo printer.

SureColor F6360:

The SureColor F6360, 44-inch dye-sublimation printer created for soft signage, merchandise, custom décor and clothing manufacturers, combines enhanced production flexibility with an improved total cost of ownership (TCO).

The new SC-F6360 is designed to replace small format screen printing, with a flexible low-cost solution that enables repeatable high-quality output production with minimal equipment, materials and mess. It produces images that are not only bright and colourful, but also extremely durable. It can be used for imaging onto fabric with 50% or more artificial content such as Polyester, Lycra and Neoprene. It can also be used on PVC, poly film, and materials which will accept a polyester spray and resist damage through short-term exposure to heat and pressure such as ceramic, glass, metal, coated plywood, certain plastics, fibreglass and polycarbonates.

The SC-F6360 is designed for easy, flexible, and dependable operation. Jobs can be turned around quickly and efficiently. The printer employs a digital process that enables image creation, editing and customisation, with significantly less equipment, materials, and skill than traditional methods. The process is compatible with text, line art and photographic images and is particularly cost-effective with small to medium production runs. The new model is designed for user-self set-up and can be purchased as a base unit with an integrated auto-cutter for sheet based transfer using a flat heat press or efficient high-speed roll-to-roll production with an optional Auto-Take-Up and calendar style heat press.

What differentiates the SC-F6360 is its cost effective operation and superior output quality. Images are processed using Precision Dot Technology and printed using the included Epson Edge Print software. When combined with the advanced Epson ink, MicroPiezo Print Head, and Dye Sublimation process, it enables the printer to achieve output that traditional equipment with 6 or 8 colours would be grateful for, using just 4 inks. The ink ships in inexpensive 1.1L bags and each print consumes very little ink. The printer consumes minimal power and can be operated in a ventilated office environment.

Replacing the F6200, the new model supports user self-set-up and a high degree of user self-maintenance complete with self-help videos activated by a QR-Code.

Whether you’re producing banners, back-lit fabric signs, sportswear, custom cabinetry, furniture coverings, or fashion items, the SC-F6360 has been designed to play a crucial part in the seamless delivery of a total, end-to-end colour printing solution.

The SureColor F6360 commences shipping in mid-August with an RRP of $11,695 (ex tax) complete with an on-site warranty and 5 years comprehensive cover (including print heads).

SureColor T5460M

The SureColor T5460M is a new 36-inch printer with integrated large-format scanning capability offering a fast multifunction solution for printing, copying, and sharing plans, posters, and business graphics. The new model expands the Epson SureColor T-Series line-up with a sleek package that will print an A1 drawing in as little as 22s (based on print engine speed), scan a standard black and white A1 drawing in 4s and copy it, in as little as 38s.

The SureColor T5460M is the first Epson technical printer to incorporate an integrated scanner. Incorporating technology developed and perfected in Epson’s professional document imaging division, it provides a compact and integrated solution that is driven from a simple and easy to operate touch control panel.

Developed for engineers and architects, it provides the perfect solution for corporate, government and education users. It also provides a simple and cost effective tool for in-store POS creation.

Leveraging Epson's PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead technology with Precision Droplet Control for crystal-clear images, precise lines and crisp text, the SureColor T5460M produces excellent image quality with industry-leading reliability. Latest generation all-pigment UltraChrome XD2 ink not only delivers accurate and vibrant colour, but prints that are resistant to damage through rubbing and moisture exposure.

The integrated scanner supports scan and copy functionality with network and direct USB file storage in a variety of formats. It features a dual light source to ensure the best possible imaging even on aged and creased documents. It also incorporates an advanced CCD sensor that not only reproduces accurate colour but is one of the first in the market to properly recognise highlighter and pen based markings made with fluorescent ink.

The SureColor T5460M provides the perfect solution for construction, business, and education. It has a sleek, space-saving design and comes equipped with a variety of features that benefit users and network managers. It includes an intuitive 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen, incorporates the latest network security and uses cost-effective high-capacity ink cartridges. It even supports direct printing from tablets and smartphones.

SureLab D860

Aimed at photographers, event management, business and retail, the SureLab D860 has extended durability which has enabled a lower total cost of ownership (TCO), while enhanced functionality and quieter operation has expanded the business opportunities it offers.

The SureLab D860 can output common 4-inch x 6-inch and 8-inch x 10-inch photo sizes as well as small 2-inch x 3.5-inch and large A4 prints, with or without borders. Unlike traditional commercial photo production technologies, it is easy to use, consumes minimal power, requires very little maintenance and involves no nasty chemicals.

Printing precise and repeatable colour, it provides users with a choice of gloss, lustre and matte media with output sizes that can be adjusted on-the-fly and the prints dry upon exit to be resistant to damage through scratching and moisture exposure. It will also output panoramic lengths which make it perfect for value-add merchandise including specialty prints, invites, greeting cards, calendars and awards. In order to meet the ever-changing and increasingly creative customer demands, the SL-D860 has been designed with flexibility in mind.
