Founded by Craig Maddren in 1996, Signage One provides a broad range of signage to the corporate, industrial, retail and general business sectors in the Goulburn region and Canberra, and has recently purchased a HP Latex R2000 and Aristo cutting table from Celmac.

“This is a major investment in capital for a regional company,” said Jonny Rumney NSW State Manager at Celmac, who arranged installation and training of the printer at Signage One this week.

He says the HP Latex R2000 will benefit Signage One as they move towards providing a more sustainable environmentally friendly option for print.

“HP Latex inks are UL Greenguard certified, meaning no VOC’s are produced whilst printing and post printing, which is of particular benefit with work that Signage One takes on for the Government,” Jonny explains.

“The HP Latex R2000 will enable us to be more productive than we were with our previous machine and due to the flexibility of the ink, will not cause ink chipping problems post printing. The colour gamut is a lot better than our UV machine which will allow us to achieve the same output as our current roll to roll HP latex printer,” says Signage One’s Craig Maddren.

“More work has been coming in since the purchase, which is why we paired the machine with the Aristo cutting table to satisfy the demands of finishing due to the increased productivity. The Aristo gives us some unique advantages, such as being able to knife cut 10mm thick Forex, or 3mm composite aluminium which would need to be routed in the past. This means less mess with cutting and more accurate cuts than with a router,” he adds.

Celmac will commence training on the Aristo cutting table after it is installed next week.
