Agfa’s UV LED inkjet ink sets achieve Greenguard Gold certification

Agfa’s Anuvia 1250/1551 and Anapurna1200/1501 UV LED inkjet ink sets for sign & display printing has received the Greenguard Gold certification in recognition of their environmental friendliness. The certification confirms that the UV LED inkjet ink sets are perfectly safe to be used for prints that cover all walls of a room – not just as signage or partial wall decoration.

“Obtaining the Greenguard Gold Certification for our wide-format UV LED inkjet inks underlines our commitment to offer printing systems that are safe and environmentally friendly,” says Sarah Lafleur, Application Product Manager Inkjet Ink. “Print businesses investing in an Anapurna or Jeti wide-format printer from Agfa enjoy both operator safety and the opportunity to generate additional business as they can meet their customers’ requests for a certified solution for wall finish applications.”

The Anuvia and Anapurna UV LED 4-colour and 6-colour ink sets perfectly match with Agfa’s Jeti and Anapurna wide-format printing engines. They excel in terms of:

* Wide colour gamut – Agfa’s UV LED ink sets boast a wide colour gamut and high colour vibrancy, resulting in lively yet natural prints that will impress and inspire time after time.

* Versatility – Specially formulated to print on rigid or flexible media, Agfa’s UV LED inks broaden the scope of possible applications. Whatever the medium or intended use – general applications, indoor or outdoor – accuracy and excellent adhesion are a given.

* Lowest ink consumption –Agfa’s patented ‘Thin Ink Layer’ technology, which relies on a combination of a high pigment load and optimal pigment dispersion with Agfa’s Asanti workflow’s algorithms, makes ink consumption per square meter the lowest on the market.

The Greenguard certification is granted to products that meet some of the world’s most rigorous chemical emissions standards, helping to reduce indoor air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure.  The Greenguard Gold standard includes health-based criteria for more than 360 VOCs and also requires lower total VOC emission levels to ensure that the products are acceptable for use in sensitive indoor environments like schools and healthcare facilities.
